Johan has 32 years proficiency in Private Equity, performance improvement and management consultancy.

Over the past 5 years, Johan worked with Bain Capital, Platinum Equity and EQT.

Johan has 32 years experience both as an entrepreneur, executive and management advisor, having worked and lived in 5 European countries including Italy, Germany, France, UK, NYC/USA with geographic activities in APAC, Eastern Europe and Northern Africa.

He started his career at the company headquarters of BASF AG in 1992 (Brussels, Paris, Ludwigshafen), then joined the Duesseldorf based unit of Roland Berger in Germany and later the Private Equity Practice of Bain & Company in London, NYC, and Benelux. He worked as executive at GE Corporate Initiatives Group (CIG) across the 12 business units of General Electric based out of Italy, leveraging the best operating practices, and rotated into GE Capital Commercial Finance (Asset based lending) in London as Regional Vice President EMEA Ebusiness in 2000.

Later, Johan prepared the Carve out of ISTA out of Viterra (division of utilities Group Eon AG) in 2003, acting as Bereichsleiter - Group Director operational excellence, whilst being instrumental in parallel with the Board in the exit to CVC Germany for 1$Bn in 2003.

He was a former founder, largest investor and managing partner of a Central European/former CIS focused SICAR, registered at the Luxemburg CSSF from 2004-2008. Custodian was Salomon Oppenheim with EY as auditor, law firm was Arendt & Medernach. Johan knows the Luxemburg eco-system based on his license received in 2007 by the CSSF.

He has executed performance improvement and international growth programs for Private equity owned companies of Bain Capital, Platinum Equity, EQT Value Infrastructure Fund (Scale Up).

He is co-founder of a vegan foodtech holding AG in Zurich, Veganthropolis AG since 2022.

Johan holds a degree of Master in Commercial Engineering from KU Leuven, and an MBA from Vlerick School of Management.
